The Vice Chancellor
 The Vice-Chancellor’s office is the nerve centre of the University administration. It co-ordinates the functions and activities of all Departments of the University. This office is responsible for all the functions of the University on behalf of the Council and Senate. In performing the functions, Schools, Departments, and specialized units are established. The Vice Chancellor, as the Chief Executive, supervises and directs these units to ensure that the aims and objectives of the University are realized. Apart from other functions delegated to his two Deputies which he supervises, the Vice Chancellor is the Chairman of the following main.
(i) Senate
(ii) Appointment and Promotions (Academic and Admin. Tech.)
(iii) Management Committee
(iv) Committee of Deans and Directors
(v) Academic Planning Committee
(vi) Estimates Committee
(vii) Security Committee
(viii) Congregation
The functions of the office of the Vice Chancellor are inexhaustive since it is the office of the Head of the Institution.
