DR. FRIDAY OGWU APPOINTED COORDINATOR, MAUTECH ALUMNI RELATIONS

The Vice Chancellor, on the 13th October 2014, approved the appointment of Dr. Friday Adejoh Ogwu as the Coordinator, Alumni Relations Office of MAUTECH, and Yola. A First Class Graduate of Urban and Regional Planning in 1999, the best overall academic performance and a valedictorian of 2002 Convocation of this University, Dr. Ogwu joined the service of this University immediately after his NYSC as a Graduate Assistant in 2000 and rose steadily to the rank of Lecturer I in 2012, having obtained an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He hails from Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The Vice Chancellor inaugurated the MAUTECH Alumni Association on the 10th of December 2014 at the MAUTECH Multipurpose Hall. The Alumni Relations Office is charged with the responsibilities of coordinating the affairs and activities of the Association including the establishment of a viable and responsible MAUTECH Alumni Association, empowerment and scholarship, policy development and management, promoting linkages and social interactions as well as fostering the spirit of oneness, loyalty, philanthropist and comradeship among the alumni and the University community.

 

The Aumni Office had since held the inaugural meeting and commenced registration of membership, which include all those that graduated from MAUTECH, CDL, Consultancy Services, Sandwich Programme, Centre for Peace and Security Studies as well as Postgraduate School.
